Pageant coaches
A coach helps with interview, walking and stage presence. Many families never use one for local pageants; they matter more as you move toward state and national stages.
What to ask
- Which systems have your clients competed in? Interview-heavy systems and beauty systems need different coaching.
- Is it a package or per session, and what does one session cost?
- Do you coach in person, by video, or both?
- Can my child sit in on a session or do a short trial first?

Gowns and wardrobe
Boutiques that sell, rent or alter pageant gowns, interview outfits and fun fashion. Renting or buying gently used is common, especially for growing kids.
What to ask
- Do you rent, sell consignment, or only sell new?
- How long do alterations take before a pageant date?
- Does this gown meet my system's rules for my child's age division?
- What is the return or exchange policy?

Photographers
Headshots for photogenic contests and program pages, plus portrait sessions after a title. Many pageants have rules about headshot size and retouching, so read them first.
What to ask
- Have you shot pageant headshots before, and for which systems?
- How much retouching do you do, and does it meet my pageant's photogenic rules?
- How many final images are included, and how fast will we get them?
- Do I get print rights for the program ad?

Stylists who know pageant looks and age-appropriate rules. For young children, check what your system allows before you book anything.

- Do you work on site at the pageant, or do we come to you?

- How early do you need us, and how long does it take?
- Can we do a trial run before pageant day?
