Who it is for

Six divisions by age as of July 1, 2027: Jr. Princess (4 to 6), Princess (7 to 9), Preteen (10 to 12), Jr. Teen (13 to 15), Teen (16 to 19) and Miss (20 to 27).

What is judged

Interview counts for 40 percent, Ultimate Runway 30 percent and Evening Gown 30 percent, with an onstage question for the top three in the older divisions. For the three youngest divisions, the rules call for light, natural makeup at interview and no flippers or false teeth.

How state feeds national

The 2027 South Carolina and North Carolina state pageant crowns three titles per division: North Carolina, South Carolina, and an optional Heart of the Carolinas title. State winners compete at Miss Ultimate USA Nationals in Orlando in July 2027. The system also offers appointed state titles.

Where this comes from. Everything on this page is taken from the system's own published pages, checked October 24, 2026. Rules change by season, so read the current handbook before entering. How we verify.
